Wilwood two-piece slotted rear rotor set for FM big brakes and 2001-05 Sport
Why do you need two-piece rotors? First, they're light - the rotor itself still has good thermal mass, but the aluminum hat takes a bunch of weight out of the rotors. Where a set of stock single-piece rotors weigh around 16.5 lbs, these weigh 14.8, a savings of 1.7 lbs (can we call that nearly 1 lb per wheel?). And it's both rotational and unsprung weight, the most important kind of weight to lose. Plus, these match the front rotors from our big brake kits, with identical finishes and slotting. To add to it, you can replace just the rotor and reuse your existing hat. Perfect!
These rotors are dimensionally identical to the stock 2001-2005 Sport rotors, which is what our rear big brakes are built around. So these rotors will fit any car using stock 2001-2005 Sport brakes as well as any NA or NB using our rear big brake kits with Wilwood Powerlite rear calipers.
